YojinUK Terms Of Service
Last update: 5 July 2025
Customer Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
Yojin Limited, trading as 'Yojin' ("Yojin"), provides website features and services through www.yojin.co.uk (the "Website"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of all Yojin Services, in conjunction with our Privacy Notice and Cookies Notice which explain our data collection and processing practices. By accessing or using any Yojin Services, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to be bound by these conditions.
2. Service Framework
Yojin operates as a technology platform facilitating connections between customers and independent delivery drivers. Our contractual obligation is specifically limited to providing software that enables delivery ordering. The binding agreement between parties only materializes when a delivery driver accepts your order under the terms of a delivery agreement between you and the driver. While Yojin does not assume direct responsibility for delivery drivers or delivered items, we maintain a commitment to ensuring service quality through reasonable oversight measures.
3. Operational Procedures
Upon order placement, Yojin initiates a search for available drivers in your vicinity. This process necessitates sharing your personal details, including location and contact information, with potential drivers. In circumstances where driver assignment cannot be completed within 40 minutes of order placement, Yojin reserves the right to cancel the order, with immediate notification provided to the customer.
4. Payment and Security Protocol
Our payment process involves initial card pre-authorization at the point of order placement, with final payment processing occurring upon successful delivery. Yojin implements a secure PIN system for delivery confirmation, whereby customers receive a unique PIN code for each transaction. The security and confidentiality of this PIN remain the customer's responsibility, and Yojin explicitly disclaims liability for unauthorized PIN usage or associated consequences.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Yojin maintains a structured refund policy based on order status. Full refunds are issued for cancellations prior to driver assignment. Cancellations following driver assignment incur a Cancellation Fee, with the remaining amount refunded. Once a driver commences delivery, cancellations are no longer permitted, and full payment is required. In cases where customer contact cannot be established at the delivery location, items will be left at the property (excluding age-restricted products), and full payment will be processed.
6. Communications Protocol
All communications between Yojin and users are conducted electronically, encompassing email, text messaging, in-app notifications, and website updates. Users explicitly consent to receive such electronic communications and acknowledge their satisfaction of legal writing requirements, except where mandatory applicable laws stipulate alternative forms of communication.
7. Account Management and Security
Account holders bear full responsibility for maintaining account security, including password confidentiality and access restriction. Users must promptly notify Yojin of any security concerns and maintain accurate, current account information. Yojin reserves the right to terminate accounts engaged in prohibited activities, including service interruption, fraudulent behavior, or violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
All content presented through Yojin Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, and data compilations, is protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or utilization of such content is strictly prohibited without explicit written consent from Yojin.
9. Third-Party Relations
Yojin functions as a facilitator of transactions between users and third-party service providers. While we maintain quality control measures, Yojin does not assume direct responsibility for third-party products or services. Contracts formed through our platform exist directly between users and service providers, with Yojin serving solely as a technology intermediary.
10. Liability Limitations
While Yojin strives to maintain consistent service availability, interruptions may occur for maintenance or technical requirements. Our liability is explicitly limited to circumstances involving direct breach of legal duty, foreseeable damages, and violations within our control. This limitation does not affect statutory rights or liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or personal injury.
11. Legal Framework and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any modifications to these terms will be communicated to users, with continued service use constituting acceptance of updated terms.

Driver Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
This Agreement is established between Yojin Limited, trading as 'Yojin' ("Yojin"), which provides services through www.yojin.co.uk and its mobile application ("Website"), and independent contractors ("Driver"). This document governs the subcontracting relationship between Yojin and its Drivers following customer order placement.
2. Contractual Framework
Pursuant to the Principal Contract dated May 2025 between Yojin and its Customers, Yojin is authorized to subcontract delivery services to independent Drivers. This Agreement establishes the terms under which Drivers may provide such services, subject to modification over time. Under the terms of the Principal Contract, Yojin has agreed to ensure its Drivers enter into this formal Agreement.
3. Fundamental Obligations
The Driver hereby undertakes to perform all duties with reasonable skill, care, and diligence, complying with all obligations specified in this Agreement and any subsequent modifications. All information required by Yojin shall be provided accurately and promptly. The Driver warrants to maintain professional standards throughout service delivery and adhere to all supplemental agreements that may be introduced.
4. Agreement Modification and Termination
Yojin reserves the right to modify or terminate this Agreement without prior notice to the Driver. Such modifications may include changes to terms, termination of services, or discontinuation of responsibilities without requiring Driver consent. This provision ensures operational flexibility while maintaining service standards.
5. Assignment Provisions
The Driver shall not assign, transfer, or dispose of any rights or obligations under this Agreement. Conversely, Yojin maintains the right to assign its rights and benefits to any entity, with notification to the Driver upon such assignment. This ensures contractual stability while allowing for corporate flexibility.
6. Communication Protocol
All notices and communications related to this Agreement shall be delivered in writing, either by hand or through first-class recorded delivery post. Postal communications shall be deemed served 48 hours after posting, while hand-delivered notices are considered served upon delivery. This ensures clear and documented communication between parties.
7. Operational Requirements
The Driver shall utilize personal funds for order fulfillment and maintain accurate pricing records in the Yojin application. Deliveries must be completed within specified timeframes, with confirmation through the application. The Driver must maintain appropriate DVLA-required insurance and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
8. Compensation Structure
Yojin shall compensate the Driver for completed deliveries, including reimbursement for purchased items upon receipt submission, agreed delivery fees, and any applicable bonuses. Yojin retains the right to deduct service fees and customer compensation from delivery fees where applicable. Payment discrepancies must be reported within 14 days of occurrence.
9. Technology Usage
Drivers receive a non-exclusive license to use the Yojin application and must maintain password confidentiality, use the application as instructed, and permit location tracking for operational purposes. This enables efficient service delivery and maintains platform security.
10. Age-Restricted Products
For deliveries involving alcohol or tobacco, the Driver must verify the age of customers appearing under 25 through valid identification (driving license or passport only). Products must be returned if valid identification cannot be provided, with delivery payment maintained regardless of return status.
11. Independent Contractor Status
The Driver operates as an independent contractor and not as an employee, worker, agent, or partner of Yojin. This includes the right to appoint qualified substitutes, bear responsibility for all expenses, and engage in other business activities, provided such activities do not conflict with delivery obligations.
12. Liability and Indemnification
The Driver shall indemnify Yojin against losses from Agreement breaches, employment-related claims, tax-related assessments, service provision defaults, and third-party claims. This comprehensive liability coverage ensures proper risk allocation between parties.
13. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by English Law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. All disputes arising from or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved accordingly.
Agreement Between Driver and Customer
1. Formation of Agreement
This Agreement is established between the Customer and the independent delivery driver upon the driver's acceptance of the Customer's order through the Yojin platform. These terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties, superseding all prior understandings or agreements.
2. Agreement Establishment
A binding agreement comes into effect solely upon a driver's acceptance of the delivery request. In circumstances where no driver accepts the order, the system will automatically cancel the request, and no contractual relationship shall be formed.
3. Delivery Verification
The Customer assumes responsibility for immediate inspection of delivered items and must communicate any discrepancies to the driver at the point of delivery. Subsequent claims regarding delivery errors cannot be accommodated after the completion of the delivery transaction.
4. Procurement and Agency
The driver acts as the Customer's purchasing agent when procuring items from local establishments, including age-restricted products such as alcohol and tobacco. Quality concerns regarding delivered items should be directed to the retail establishment of purchase. Due to the nature of certain products (particularly weighted or prepared items), refunds may be limited to cases of defective goods or misrepresented items.
5. Delivery Responsibility
The driver's contractual obligation extends exclusively to the transportation and delivery of requested items.
6. Payment Terms
The Customer agrees to remit payment for the total order value, encompassing both the cost of goods and associated service charges, including the driver's delivery fee.
7. Delivery Protocol
The Customer must be present at the specified delivery address at the agreed time. Unattended deliveries are prohibited, and age-restricted items require valid identification verification. Failure to provide appropriate age verification will result in the return of restricted items, with applicable fees charged to the Customer.
8. Delivery Confirmation
Delivery completion requires Customer verification through provision of the Yojin-issued PIN to the driver.
9. Service Standards and Limitations
Standard delivery completion targets 90 minutes from order placement, subject to modification as communicated during booking. External factors may affect delivery timing. Product availability cannot be guaranteed; unavailable items will not be charged. Customers may reject and receive refunds for items that do not match their original order specifications.
10. Cancellation and Regulatory Compliance
Order cancellation must be processed through Yojin. For deliveries in Scotland, alcohol sales are restricted before 10am and after 10pm, with deliveries prohibited between 12am and 6am.
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with applicable local laws and regulations governing delivery services and age-restricted products.

Location Services Privacy Statement
1. Customer Location Data
Customers utilizing the Yojin mobile application may voluntarily consent to location data access while the application is in active use. This information consists of geographical coordinates expressed as longitude and latitude values. We utilize this data to identify optimal delivery options within your vicinity.
2. Delivery Driver Location Data
Delivery partners may authorize background location access through the application. We strictly limit our collection, usage, and sharing of location information to purposes directly associated with providing and enhancing application functionality. This enables us to dispatch delivery opportunities near drivers' current positions and facilitate customer tracking of active deliveries.
Yojin delivery partners operate without formal sign-in/sign-out procedures or designated working hours. Consequently, to alert drivers about nearby delivery opportunities even when the application is not actively running, background location capabilities are necessary.
3. Location Data Technology
The Android version of our application utilizes Google location services to determine your position before transmitting this information to Yojin servers. Similarly, the iOS version employs Apple location services to establish your coordinates before secure transmission to our servers.
4. Location Data Sharing Practices
We maintain a strict policy against sharing location data with external parties, with the sole exception of law enforcement agencies presenting valid legal requests. We do not engage in the sale of location information. All personal and sensitive user information, including location data, undergoes secure handling protocols, including transmission via encrypted channels.
